We are delighted that BLOODLINES, MISSISSIPPI, from award-winning director Crystal Kayiza, and made in partnership with The Nobel Prize, will screen for the first time in the US this weekend at Dead Center Film Festival.
In the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Dr Foluso Fakorede is fighting to save lives. Set in America’s ‘Diabetes Belt’ and epicentre of the amputation epidemic, BLOODLINES, MISSISSIPPI examines a medical system that is stacked against the Delta’s most vulnerable residents.
While expressing the many challenges faced by Dr Fakorede and his team, the film shows the trauma of history inequality and the balm of community centred care.
