Over the last few years we’ve been working on a beautiful project exploring the legacy of the Nobel Peace Prize. This resulted in five short films about truly extraordinary people changing their own lives, their communities and the world around them. They are stories of breaking down stereotypes, overcoming insurmountable adversity, saving lives and rebuilding broken people and places. The world can be a horrible place, but in our experience it is overwhelmingly made up of kind, honourable and gentle people.
The films are:
INTO THE FIRE - a team of female Yazidi de-miners in Iraq attempt to clear their land of mines left behind by ISIS
STILL HUMAN - a South Sudanese man devotes his life to building prosthetic legs to help victims of war walk again
AN UNFINISHED SYMPHONY - a life-changing orchestra in South Africa uses music to bring the country together
THE LOST FOREST - a team of scientists on an extraordinary mission in Mozambique to help better our understanding of climate change
LOST AND FOUND - a Rohingya refugee takes it upon himself to reunite family members torn apart by conflict in the world’s largest refugee camp
From today, all 5 films are available to watch on YouTube.com/Natgeo and at www.nobelprize.org/peace-prize-documentary-films/.
We are forever thankful to all of the people who opened up their lives and hearts to us and allowed us to share their stories.
