Nobel Prize for Medicine series launches globally

August 2025

It's been a brilliant few months for the next phase in our long term partnership with The Nobel Prize. We've been busy working on a series of films linked to the Nobel Prize for Medicine and these films have begun their journey in the world.

LIFE INVISIBLE, a film about the hunt for antibiotics from Chilean filmmakers Bettina Perut andIván Osnovikoff, had its world premiere at Hot Docs Film Festival in Canada -https://hotdocs.ca/whats-on/hot-docs-festival/films/2025/life-invisible

This weekend BLOODLINES MISSISSIPPI from American filmmaker Crystal Kayiza is screening at Black Star film festival hot on the heels of a world premiere at Dead Center Film Festival. Set in America’s Diabetes Belt and epicenter of the amputation epidemic, the film examines a medical system that is stacked against the Delta’s most vulnerable residents - https://www.blackstarfest.org/festival/films/bloodlines-mississippi/

Last week the third film in the series. Shadows In Sunlight, about Pakistan's courageous health workers on a mission to vaccinate the country's children against Polio launched at the Oscar qualifying Holly Shorts Film Festival in Los Angeles.

All three films also feature in a special exhibition about them, and the Nobel Prize winning discoveries that inspired each film, at the Nobel Museum in Sweden

We have lots more very exciting things planned for these films in the coming months so watch this space.
